Event Information

Official Qualifying Race: This 5k race is an Official Qualifying event for the AJC Peachtree Road Race – Benefiting Special Olympics Georgia.

Race Location: Shakerag Park, 10945 Rogers Circle, Johns Creek GA 30097

Race Date: Saturday, April 13, 8:15 A.M.

Fun Run: A kid friendly FUN RUN (Approximately 1 Mile) will take place at 7:45 A.M.

Early Bag Pick-Up: Early bag pick-up will be at the Big Peach Running Co. store located at 5530 Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30004.  This will be on FRIDAY April 12th, 2019 between 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 P.M. 

Race Day Registration: There will be race day registration and the  race day packets (shirt and bibs) pick-up will begin at 6:45 A.M. 

**MUST Register by April 6th to be guaranteed t-shirt**

Who can participate? Anyone

This 5K race benefiting Special Olympics Georgia is a dog, stroller, wheel chair and walker friendly event! (All dogs must be on a leash)

Parking:Please park at Shakerag Elementary School or River Trail Middle School near Shakerag Park.

The Registration Table will be near River Trail Middle School and this parking lot should accommodate all runners.

About Special Olympics Georgia

The mission of Special Olympics Georgia is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Our goal is to help bring persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected, and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens.
