After four years of serving on the honorary board of the Special Olympics of Georgia, I have moved up to the “big” board as of January of 2018! I feel such a personal alignment with the purpose and mission of SOGA. Last year I married a wonderful widower with four children, one of whom is a special needs adult. Alyssa is an avid sports participant and Special Olympics provides such a great opportunity for year-round training and sports competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to develop skills that help them to build the confidence and camaraderie that benefit them throughout their lives.
I truly believe in the inclusion mission of Special Olympics and in the 26,460 Special Olympics Georgia athletes! I am excited to have you join me on my journey, please click on the link above to help bring out the champion in everyone!
